Government spruiks new $13 million booster campaign
The federal government will launch a $13 million advertising campaign to increase COVID booster vaccination rates ahead of winter. The campaign across television, print and digital will highlight the importance of a third jab. More than 6.3 million eligible Australians are yet to be boosted. The federal government is also working on a school holiday vaccination blitz, which could take place at cinemas and zoos. Around two million children aged between five and 11 have only had one shot while 1.1 million remain unvaccinated.
