Pop star Cody Simpson qualifies for Commonwealth Games
Cody Simpson has completed his switch from pop star to elite athlete -qualifying for the Commonwealth Games and the FINA World Championships. The 25-year-old finished third in the hundred-metre butterfly in Adelaide last night - to secure a dream call-up to the Dolphins, representing Australia on the world stage. Olympic finalist Matt Temple won the sprint in 51.5 seconds - as gold medallist Kyle Chalmers and Cody Simpson finished less than half a second behind. Mr Simpson says he's had some high-profile help along the way - as champions Michael Phelps, Grant Hackett and Ian Thorpe all offered their advice.
