British author Hilary Mantel dies aged 70

Award-winning British author, Dame Hilary Mantel, has died at the age of 70. In a statement, her publisher, HarperCollins, announced that the author had died suddenly but peacefully, surrounded by family and friends. Ms Mantel was best known for her best-selling Wolf Hall trilogy.
