NDIS expenditure forecast to balloon to $50 billion
The National Disability Insurance Scheme expenditure is forecast to balloon to $50 billion in the next three financial years. This comes as NDIS Minister Bill Shorten launches a review into the scheme, where participants, families and carers will be involved in the review of the scheme. The scheme will be separated into two parts, the first probing into its design, operation, and sustainability while the second part will identify ways to make the NDIS more responsive and supportive of people with a disability.
