CNN fires long time news anchor Don Lemon

CNN has fired long time news anchor Don Lemon. In a social media post Mr Lemon wrote ‘I was informed this morning by my agent that I have been terminated by CNN. I am stunned.’ – adding he was never given any notice about the dismissal and that there are clearly ‘larger issues at play’. CNN responded saying he was given a chance to meet with network officials but instead posted on his personal twitter account.
