Queensland Government to hand over control of Toowoomba-Wellcamp facility

The Queensland Government will today relinquish control of its controversial Toowoomba-Wellcamp facility. New figures from The Courier-Mail reveal taxpayers forked out $220 million for the facility. Since its opening in February 2022, the site has only housed 730 people, primarily unvaccinated international travellers under quarantine orders.
