‘Rizz’ crowned Oxford’s word of the year after iconic Tom Holland interview
‘Rizz’ has been declared the Oxford English Dictionary’s word of the year for 2023. Most of the phrase's success has been attributed to Spiderman actor Tom Holland after he was asked about his rizz in a viral interview. The slang term is used to describe someone's ability to attract a romantic partner. The word beat seven other contenders to win word of the year. ‘Swiftie’ – used to described Taylor Swift fans – was among the contenders.
