‘Impossible Creatures’: Katherine Rundell wins Waterstones 2023 Book of the Year
Katherine Rundell has won the Waterstones Book of the Year award for 2023. Ms Rundell’s novel ‘Impossible Creatures’ claimed first place. The acclaimed author is being likened to JRR Tolkien, Philip Pullman, and C.S. Lewis. “You can’t please every kid but occasionally they have kids who come up to me and say ‘I’ve read it and I know it’s not real – obviously it’s not real – but is It real?’ Ms Rundall said. Her award-winning novel is already being hailed as a modern classic.
